Welcome

Mount Cotton Scout Group has been preparing our youth for a new adventure since October 1992. We provide our youth members with fun and challenging opportunities to grow through adventure. Our programs are designed to encourage the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of young people.

Part of the Redlands District and Scouts Queensland, we are a complete Scout Group, catering to the needs of members from all age groups.

The youth sections are separated based on age, Joey Scout (5*-7), Cub Scout (8 – 10), Scout (11 – 14), Venturers (15 – 17) and Rovers (18 – 25), with each Section taking more responsibility for their own activities as they progress.

All Sections share a steady diet of self-respect, confidence, leadership, teamwork, creativity, environmental awareness and community involvement, and there are plenty of events and activities in which everyone can get involved together.
*Joeys need to have turned 5 years old and be eligible to attend primary school.

Scouts Australia was established over 100 years ago, and is one of the Australia’s largest Youth Organisations. Its fundamental Aims, which are still as relevant today as when first outlined, support the development of young people so that they can take a constructive place within their local, national and international community.
